Neighborhood Outreach

Based on the Biblical mandate to serve and love our neighbors, we strive to address their physical, spiritual and social needs. Park Avenue United Methodist reaches out to the community through church ministries, such as Cornerstone, and through a non-profit foundation, Park Avenue Youth and Family Services. Neighborhood services include:

Cornerstone

Cornerstone provides food, clothing and assistance to our neighbors and members during times of need. Cornerstone is a ministry of blessing where the congregation and community merchants give out of their abundance and expand the circle of giving.

Tronix Team

Tronix Team is an after-school electronics club for boys and girls, grades 6-8. Students learn how to build electronic gadgets that really work. Projects include lasers, stereo speakers, and sirens. Best of all, they keep everything they build. Students are taken on field trips to different companies in the Minneapolis area where they meet professionals working with industrial equipment to make microchips and other products.

St. Mary's Health Clinic

Park Avenue answers the need for free medical clinics for our neighbors in partnership with the St Mary’s Clinic. Hundreds receive excellent medical attention right at our clinic and are referred to hospitals for additional services in challenging cases.

Park Avenue Legal Clinic

Park Avenue answers the need for free legal services for our neighbors in partnership with the Volunteer Lawyers Network. Hundreds of families are given the legal advice they need to thrive in a complicated world.
